We are partnered with a precision contract manufacturing company producing complex machined components for the aerospace and defense industries, including space flight applications. Our team takes pride in quality craftsmanship, dependable delivery, and solving challenging machining problems.

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment, inspect finished parts, and support consistent production in a clean, safety-focused shop.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including Mazak equipment, to produce precision components.
• Read blueprints and detailed part drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.
• Set up and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and machine accessories.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic operator maintenance.
• Follow established manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain clean, organized machines and work areas.
• Participate in technical training and safety meetings.

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience with strong setup and operation skills
• Experience with Mazak CNC equipment preferred
• Familiarity with Mastercam preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret detailed part drawings
• Experience machining complex part geometries
• Proficiency with calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Strong basic math and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of routine machine maintenance
• Working knowledge of GD&T preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• 10+ years of CNC machining experience preferred, but not required
