This role involves machine setup, operation, quality inspection, and collaboration with CNC programming and engineering teams to ensure parts meet specifications and production goals.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines independently using machine setup sheets and established procedures.Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine machining processes and meet specified tolerances, fit, and finish requirements.Apply working knowledge of G-code, cutting speeds, and feed rates for different materials.Work with CNC programmers to support machine setup, troubleshoot issues, and improve programs for efficient production.Use precision measuring instruments to inspect finished parts and verify compliance with quality standards.Enter and maintain accurate labor and material usage records using a computer and shop floor tracking software.Follow company procedures and safety requirements while working in a manufacturing environment.Maintain CNC equipment and assist with shop cleanliness and general equipment upkeep.Support Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Quoting departments with additional production-related tasks.Collaborate with team members and Engineering to address design-for-manufacturing concerns, communicate machining limitations, and identify practical solutions.Safely handle materials and operate tools and equipment as required.Perform other duties as assigned to support production and business operations.Qualifications and SkillsPrevious experience operating CNC cutting machines.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Strong shop math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.Familiarity with machining processes, tooling, and machine setup procedures.Experience machining or cutting stainless steel and plastics is a plus.Technical degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.Ability to work effectively with team members and contribute to production goals.Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safe equipment operation.Related ExperienceCandidates with experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:CNC machine operation and setupCNC cutting, routing, or millingPrecision machining and component manufacturingBlueprint reading and GD&TMachine shop or industrial manufacturing workMetal or plastic machiningCNC programming support and troubleshootingPrecision measurement and quality inspectionWork Environment and Physical RequirementsAbility to safely lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand and walk throughout the scheduled shift.Ability to climb, balance, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, and handle tools or machine controls as needed.Ability to work safely around CNC machinery and follow established operating procedures.Willingness to work collaboratively in a production environment and adapt to changing manufacturing priorities.About JSTJST is a global provider of wet bench design, wet processing, and precision cleaning technology for semiconductor, biomedical, and other industries where cleanliness and process control are critical.
