CleanAir, with over 50 years of expertise in air pollution testing and consulting, is a leading provider of instrumentation, testing services, and custom equipment manufacturing. We are seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. We offer flexible employment options, including full-time, part-time, or on an "as-needed" basis.

Position Overview:
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a key role in the production of components used in assembly processes. You will work with a variety of machines and may also assist with product assembly, instrument calibration, repair, and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of production shop systems and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan machining processes by reviewing work orders, blueprints, materials, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Program machines by inputting instructions, setting tool registers and offsets, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Monitor stock levels and request necessary materials from purchasing.
  • Ensure part specifications are met by adhering to quality assurance standards and procedures.
  • Provide innovative solutions to enhance component production efficiency.
  • Maintain machinery by following preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic metalworking.
  • 5+ years experience operating CNC machines, milling, grinding, and press machines; basic machine setup and operator skills are preferred.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • CAD and/or SolidWorks experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality standards and strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic technical training and an electronics background are beneficial but not required.
  • Willingness to train the right candidates.
  • Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and possess a valid driver's license.

Benefits (for full-time, permanent employees):
CleanAir offers a comprehensive benefits package, including superior medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, 401(k) match, prescription drug benefits, short- and long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, vacation pay, and life insurance. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

CleanAir is an equal opportunity employer, offering challenging career opportunities, training, competitive compensation, and a drug-free/smoke-free working environment.
