The CNC Machinist is responsible for managing the production rate and quality, making sure the product meets the highest standards of the Company’s product line.
Responsibilities
Perform operational functions of CNC machines, maintain proper maintenance of machine equipment
Maintain acceptable reject and production rates
Verify part compliance to print or other documentation, uses Calipers and Micrometers
Reading of blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required
Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job. Correctly loading and unloading fixturing, Jaws, Chucks, Main Spindle, Sub Spindle, Collets, Pads, Bar feeder inputs
Plans proper sequence of steps to complete assignment which may include programming input or corrections. Determine and program size of batches and speed of machine
