You arrive, review the day’s build sheets and CAD data, and move straight into setting up multi‑axis CNC mills and a manual lathe to run precision parts. By mid‑morning you’re interpreting drawings and CAD/CAM files to lock in the machining approach, then writing and refining toolpaths. After first‑article parts come off the machine, you verify every critical feature with micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment, adjusting offsets or programs as needed. In the afternoon you update models or drawings in Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or AutoCAD, and capture everything in Oracle Manufacturing so production stays synchronized.
What you’ll handle
Set up and operate multi‑axis CNC mills and manual lathes to produce tight‑tolerance components.
Interpret blueprints, specs, and CAD/CAM data to plan efficient machining sequences that meet engineering intent.
Inspect parts using precision metrology tools, including micrometers, calipers, and CMM systems.
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacture and prototyping using AutoCAD, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and Mastercam.
Develop CAM programs and multi‑axis toolpaths directly from CAD models for seamless design‑to‑machining handoff.
Maintain accurate documentation and perform computer administration tasks in Oracle Manufacturing.
What you bring
Hands‑on 3D CAD modeling experience with Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
Degree in Precision Machining Technology or relevant CAD certifications; or 1–2 years of equivalent industry experience.
Strong PC skills with Excel and Word; Oracle Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Clear, professional communication across all levels of the company.
