- SetupandoperateCNCand/ormanualmachiningequipmenttomanufactureprecision components
- Readandinterpretengineeringdrawings, blueprints,specifications, tolerances, and work instructions
- Performmachinesetups,includingselection and installation of appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding
- Verifyprograms,tooling, offsets, and setup requirements prior tomachining
- Performin-processinspectionsto ensurepartsmeetdrawingand customer requirements
- Useprecisionmeasuringequipmentsuchasmicrometers,calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other inspection tools
- Maintainclosetolerancesand consistently produce partsthat meetquality requirements
- Identifymachiningorqualityissues and communicateconcernstosupervision and Quality Assurance
- Completerequiredjobtravelers, inspection documentation, and other production records accurately
- Maintainequipmentandworkareasinaclean,safe,and organized condition
- Followcompanyqualityprocedures,safety requirements, and applicablecustomer requirements
- Assistandprovideguidancetoless-experienced machinistswhen needed Qualifications:
- PreviousexperienceasaClassA,Senior,orhighly experienced Machinist in aprecision manufacturing environment
- StrongCNCmachiningandsetupexperience
- Abilitytoindependentlysetupand operatemachiningequipment
- Strongunderstandingofmachiningprocesses, cuttingtools, speeds, feeds, andtooling selection
- Abilitytoreadandunderstand complexengineeringdrawingsand specifications
- WorkingknowledgeofGD&Tanddimensionaltolerances
- Proficient with precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Abilitytotroubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues
- Strongattentiontodetail and commitmenttoquality
- Abilitytoworkindependently aswell aspart ofateam
- Dependableattendanceandstrongworkethic Preferred Experience: Experience with CNClathesand mills, multi-axis machining, CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, and precision machining of complexcomponentsispreferred. Experience working within a controlled Quality Management Systemormanufacturingpartsto stringent customer, nuclear, government, or other highly regulated requirements is also beneficial.
