CNC Machinist

Hi-Lite Machine Company builds custom machinery. That means short runs, tight tolerances, weldments, unique parts, and constant problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and run CNC mills and lathes
• Program at the control (conversational and/or G-code editing)
• Read and interpret prints with GD&T
• Select tooling and workholding without being told every step
• Machine precision components for custom machine builds and subcontract work
• Perform your own inspections and stand behind your parts
• Optimize setups and improve efficiency
• Safely operate overhead cranes

You’ll move between jobs. You’ll solve problems. You’ll make decisions that matter.

What We Expect

• Proven experience in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment
• Strong independent setup and troubleshooting ability
• Confidence programming at the machine
• Solid understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and materials
• High standards for quality and finish
• Professional attitude and accountability

If you need constant direction or prefer repetitive production work, this role won’t be a good fit.
