Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist role in Sherwood, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision metal components.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments based on job requirements.
Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
Perform first article inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and offsets to maintain efficiency.
Work with G-code and M-code programming to optimize machine operations.
Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
Follow safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and programming.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications.
Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls is a plus.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree or certification in CNC Machining, Precision Manufacturing, or related field.
Experience working with large-scale machining and heavy industrial components.
Knowledge of CAM software (Mastercam, Esprit, or similar).
