Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist role in Winslow, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for precision manufacturing, innovation, and delivering high-quality products. Pay:

  • $28.00/hour – with a 2-year machining degree or 2+ years of CNC machining experience
  • $24.00/hour starting – with less than 2 years of experience and no machining degree
  • $7,500 Sign-On Bonus
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining equipment to produce precision components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and offset modifications as needed.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Maintain tight tolerances while meeting production and quality standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in proper working condition.
  • Accurately document production data, inspections, and completed work orders.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate equipment or quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to achieve daily production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year machining degree or 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred for the higher pay rate.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
