Job Description

CNC Mill/Lathe Setup Specialist

A Day on Our 2nd Shift

It’s 3:00 PM in Aurora, OH. You clock in, review a new work order from an established industrial manufacturer we partner with, and pull up the engineering drawing. You choose the right cutters, set your work offsets, dial in tool length and wear, and make a few smart edits to the G-code. Your first-piece passes inspection with micrometers and indicators, and you log the results before kicking off a steady production run. Through the evening, you monitor chip load and surface finish, tweak feeds and speeds, and collaborate with engineering to shave seconds off the cycle. Before 1:00 AM, you complete PM on the machine and coach a teammate through a tricky lathe setup. That’s impact.

Schedule & Differentials

  • 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM
  • $2/hour shift differential
