We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support advanced manufacturing operations for large industrial gas turbine components. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming experience using CAM software, hands-on machining knowledge, and experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment.
This role involves CNC program development, process improvement, troubleshooting, tooling support, and close collaboration with manufacturing and shop floor teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, and maintain CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM or similar CAM software (Mastercam, CATIA, Esprit, etc.).
Create CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, and multi-axis machining applications.
Support machining operations including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
Verify and validate CNC programs prior to production using Vericut or similar simulation software.
Develop and optimize machining processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Troubleshoot CNC machining and programming issues on the production floor.
Support tooling, fixtures, workholding, and manufacturing methods.
Incorporate Renishaw probing cycles, macro programming, subroutines, and variable-based programming where applicable.
Train machine operators on new programs and process improvements.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of CNC programming experience using a graphical CAM system.
Experience with Siemens NX CAM preferred. Candidates with Mastercam, CATIA, Esprit, or similar CAM software are also encouraged to apply.
Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, or multi-axis CNC machines.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes including milling, turning, grinding, or EDM.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations and shop floor troubleshooting.
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and shop math skills.
