Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support advanced manufacturing operations for large industrial gas turbine components. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming experience using CAM software, hands-on machining knowledge, and experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment.
  • This role involves CNC program development, process improvement, troubleshooting, tooling support, and close collaboration with manufacturing and shop floor teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, modify, and maintain CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM or similar CAM software (Mastercam, CATIA, Esprit, etc.).
  • Create CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, and multi-axis machining applications.
  • Support machining operations including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
  • Verify and validate CNC programs prior to production using Vericut or similar simulation software.
  • Develop and optimize machining processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Troubleshoot CNC machining and programming issues on the production floor.
  • Support tooling, fixtures, workholding, and manufacturing methods.
  • Incorporate Renishaw probing cycles, macro programming, subroutines, and variable-based programming where applicable.
  • Train machine operators on new programs and process improvements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of CNC programming experience using a graphical CAM system.
  • Experience with Siemens NX CAM preferred. Candidates with Mastercam, CATIA, Esprit, or similar CAM software are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, or multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes including milling, turning, grinding, or EDM.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and shop floor troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and shop math skills.
