Overview

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, this position ensures the proper functioning of CNC equipment and supports the Mastercam program. The role provides comprehensive support for quality assurance, product implementation, problem troubleshooting, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • 2D CNC programming with Mastercam 2025 is required; a good understanding of Axyz CNC router machining is essential.
  • Set up, test, and adjust machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently.
  • Monitor and improve product quality, assuring quality (cut, sizing, etc.) for any product during and after production. Ensure all products meet our standards.
  • Familiarity with both metric and English measurement systems.
  • Cut various types of sheet materials such as plastics, HPL, and aluminum.
  • Collaborate with the HQ technical team on product implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings.
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting.
  • Ensure safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Experience with AXYZ CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam 2025.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, attention to detail, mechanical skills, precision, and engineering abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision (self-motivated once given direction/guidance).
  • Capability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Rapid problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
