 What you'll be doing

  • Champion a "Safety First" culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness across the team.
  • Set up and adjust tooling for features specified in CNC programs, ensuring accuracy per drawings and CAD/CAM files.
  • Operate and maintain sheet metal punch or similar CNC equipment, retrieving and loading programs via machine computer.
  • Sharpen tooling using powered grinding equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and tool selection by reading and adhering to Operation Manuals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Accurately complete and submit all required production paperwork and documentation.

What you'll have

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from a technical school preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience operating sheet metal punches or similar CNC equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of shop math and units of measurement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment.

Physical requirements and work environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in an active manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and varying temperatures.

  • Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
  • Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
