Experienced CNC Setup Operator / CNC MachinistHartman Enterprises, Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned precision machining company growing our aerospace and defense manufacturing business.We are a precision shop-not a high-volume parts factory. Our machinists work on a variety of jobs, setups, materials, and challenging parts. If you enjoy hands-on setup work, troubleshooting, and producing high-quality precision components, we want to hear from you.This position requires prior CNC setup experience. Machine-tending experience alone does not qualify.What You'll DoIndependently set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes.Install tooling, fixtures, workholding, and establish offsets.Load and verify programs, setup sheets, and tooling requirements.Read blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T.Complete first-piece prove-outs and in-process inspections.Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.Make tool offsets and minor program adjustments.Troubleshoot tooling, dimensional, setup, and machine-related issues.Work with Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve problems.Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.What We're Looking ForProven CNC setup experience.Ability to take a job from setup through first-piece approval.Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills.Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and workholding.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Dependable attendance and ability to work independently.Preferred: Aerospace or defense experience; Mazak, Doosan, Fanuc, multi-axis, mill-turn, twin-spindle, or live-tooling experience; GD&T knowledge; AS9100/ISO experience; CNC programming or editing skills.ScheduleMonday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PMOvertime and occasional weekends as needed.BenefitsCompetitive pay plus overtime401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Paid time off and holidaysTraining and professional developmentWhy Hartman?You won't spend every day loading the same part and pressing cycle start.
