As a CNC Setup Programmer II, you'll be vital in preparing and maintaining precision machining operations. You'll work closely with your team to ensure production runs smoothly, safely, and with the highest quality standards.
What You'll Do As a CNC Setup Programmer II, you will be responsible for
Creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs for complex machined parts
Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
Setting up machines, selecting tooling, and developing fixtures for efficient production
Troubleshooting machining issues and adjusting programs to maintain quality
Performing first-piece inspections and verifying machining processes
Creating setup sheets, work instructions, and tooling documentation
Training and supporting other team members in machining and setup processes
Participating in Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have
46 years of CNC programming, setup, and machining experience
Experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T standards
Knowledge of CNC tooling, fixturing, and machining processes
Strong troubleshooting, measurement, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and support team production goals
High school diploma, GED, or vocational training
