F3 Metalworx is growing our teams in Erie and North East, PA, and we’re looking for developing and experienced operators who love building precise metal parts. We have first- and second-shift opportunities and we welcome candidates at different stages of their careers.

Compensation and bonus: Starting pay is $16.50–$24.00 per hour, and actual earnings depend on your experience, skill level, shift differentials, and incentives; in some cases, total hourly pay may exceed the stated range. New hires in Machine Operator roles receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

A day in the life

You’ll begin your shift reviewing prints and job travelers, preparing your machine and tools, and running parts to exact specifications. Throughout the day, you’ll verify quality with precision instruments, keep the area organized and safe, and hand off clear notes to the next shift so production flows smoothly.

What you’ll operate

Bring experience on at least one of the following and we’ll meet you where you are—training provided for the right candidates:

• CNC laser
• CNC punch press
• Press brake

Setup, tooling changes, and programming skills are valuable advantages but are not required for every opening.

Your responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC equipment to form and cut sheet metal parts to spec
• Perform in-process inspections to hold tight tolerances
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support a clean, safe, and organized shop
• Maintain accuracy and consistency during repetitive production runs
• Communicate key production updates to the next shift and supervisors

What you bring

• Hands-on experience on a CNC laser, CNC punch press, or press brake (one year preferred; strong foundational skills considered)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Skill with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• CNC programming exposure with Trumpf, Amada, Accurpress, Cincinnati, Bystronic, or similar is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Developing candidates: eagerness to learn and strong attention to detail
• Experienced candidates: willingness to mentor junior operators as needed
