We are hiring CNC Swiss Setup Operators at multiple experience levels in Agawam, MA. Whether you have some machining experience and want to develop your Swiss CNC skills or are an experienced Swiss Setup Operator, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay Range: $26–$37/hour, based on experience and skill level
What You'll Do
Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines to produce precision components
Read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications
Select tooling, load materials, and make necessary machine adjustments
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
Monitor machining processes to maintain quality and tight tolerances
Troubleshoot tooling, machining, and setup issues
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
Qualifications
CNC Swiss Setup Operator I
Previous manufacturing or machining experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Willingness to learn CNC Swiss setup, operation, and basic programming
Ability to read or learn to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
CNC Swiss Setup Operator II
3+ years of CNC Swiss setup and operating experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Swiss machining processes, tooling, materials, and tolerances
Ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss machines
Experience with G-code/M-code and CAM software such as Esprit or PartMaker
Ability to read engineering drawings, models, and technical specifications
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferred
