Location: Leeds, Alabama
Pay: $38–$45 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: First Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Technical Specialist to support and optimize machining operations through CNC programming, fixture design, process development, and troubleshooting. This hands-on role provides technical guidance on the production floor while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Training to improve safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs, including G-code programming, toolpath development, and program prove-outs.
• Design fixtures and work-holding solutions to improve machining accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and provide daily technical support to production personnel.
• Evaluate machining methods, tooling, equipment setups, and processes to reduce cycle times, scrap, and operating costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to implement new products, processes, and equipment improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process standardization.
• Develop and maintain standard work procedures, technical documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on CNC programming, machine setups, tooling, quality standards, and safe work practices.
• Partner with the Training Department to develop training materials and support employee skill development.
• Assist with capital equipment projects, including equipment selection, installation, startup, and production implementation.
