Job Title: Production Coater Operator – 1st Shift



Location: Greenfield, MO 

Employment Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire 

Shift: 1st Shift, 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM 

Pay: $15.30 per hour
 

Summary of the Role

The Coater Operator will work in a production environment assisting with the seed coating process. This position involves operating and monitoring coating equipment, handling materials, and ensuring products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Operate and monitor seed coating machinery and production equipment. 
  
• 
  Load seed and coating materials into equipment as needed. 
  
• 
  Monitor the coating process to ensure consistent product coverage and quality. 
  
• 
  Adjust machine settings and equipment controls as directed. 
  
• 
  Use basic math to measure materials, verify quantities, and follow production specifications. 
  
• 
  Measure, mix, and handle coating materials according to production requirements. 
  
• 
  Inspect finished products for proper coating and overall quality. 
  
• 
  Monitor material levels and replenish supplies to maintain production. 
  
• 
  Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production concerns. 
  
• 
  Assist with cleaning coating equipment and maintaining the work area. 
  
• 
  Follow all safety procedures when handling coating materials and operating machinery. 
  
• 
  Assist with additional production duties as needed.
   
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 
  Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience preferred. 
  
• 
  Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 
  
• 
  Ability to use a calculator and accurately measure or calculate material quantities. 
  
• 
  Ability to follow written instructions, measurements, and production specifications. 
  
• 
  Good mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operations. 
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  
• 
  Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. 
  
• 
  Ability to lift and move materials as required. 
  
• 
  Comfortable working around production machinery, dust, and coating materials while using required personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  
• 
  Dependable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
