Job Description

Coffee Equipment & Facilities Repair Technician

Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters | Victor, NY

Build Your Career Where Coffee Meets Technical Expertise

Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters is seeking a dependable, hands-on technician to keep our coffee equipment and facilities operating at their best. This mid-level role combines bench repair, regional field service, preventive maintenance, light HVAC work, basic electrical troubleshooting, and general building maintenance. Work volume can vary from high-paced, high-demand periods to lower-paced stretches, so adaptability and the ability to prioritize shifting needs are essential. You will work both independently and with the team to diagnose issues, complete quality repairs, support installations, and help maintain a safe, efficient workplace. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems and want a varied role where no two days are exactly alike, we would like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish commercial coffee-brewing and related equipment
  • Perform bench repairs and occasional field service throughout the Finger Lakes and Western New York region
  • Install equipment and travel to customer locations and company-owned cafés for repairs, pickups, and returns
  • Complete preventive maintenance for equipment at FLCR cafés, wholesale customer locations, and the Victor production facility
  • Support light HVAC troubleshooting and routine maintenance within the scope of your training and experience
  • Perform basic electrical diagnostics and minor repairs involving equipment and facility systems
  • Handle general building-maintenance tasks, including routine inspections, minor repairs, and coordination of larger service needs
  • Maintain repair records, parts, tools, and equipment inventory in an organized manner
  • Follow safety procedures and communicate repair findings and recommended next steps clearly
  • Assist with coffee-product deliveries and production-related needs during repair downtime

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Relevant hands-on experience in equipment repair, maintenance, facilities support, or a related technical field; mid-level troubleshooting ability is expected
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand and power tools
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, basic electrical troubleshooting, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to read basic equipment documentation, diagnose issues, and complete repairs safely and accurately
  • Experience servicing coffee equipment is preferred, including BUNN brewers and grinders, Rancilio espresso machines, blenders, kegerators, and related equipment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation; mileage reimbursement is provided, and a company vehicle may be available
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, as permitted by law
