Collections Specialist

Key Responsibilities of the Collections Specialist
- Drive collection activity by contacting customers, explaining balances, and supporting payment resolution.
- Process payments accurately and update student account records.
- Respond to account inquiries by phone and email, including reviewing account details and explaining charges.
- Support monthly billing coverage and account reconciliations as needed.
- Assist with the required steps to close Loan accounts, following documented guidance.
Must-Have Skills/Experience (Required)
- Multiple years of collections experience, including direct customer or account-holder communication.
- General accounting knowledge and experience with account reconciliation.
- Excel proficiency and comfort learning financial systems.
