Monarch Medical Management is seeking a full-time Collections Clerk to join our team in Slidell. In this role, you will play a key part in managing outstanding payments, handling client accounts, and ensuring efficient billing processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service while maintaining professional relationships with clients and patients.


Responsibilities:


  • Contact clients to obtain updates on current case status and payment expectations
  • Research civil court records and pleadings to track the status of cases in litigation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information, logs, and patient notes
  • Respond to inbound calls regarding account balances, billing statements, and payment or reduction requests
  • Follow up on accounts associated with attorney-dropped or inactive cases
  • Prepare and file medical liens as appropriate to secure payment on accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (attorneys, clients) to resolve outstanding balances
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, healthcare administration, or legal studies preferred
  • Familiarity with legal processes, court record research, or lien filing is preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and follow up in a timely manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or billing systems
