Position Information

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-briefing sessions for simulation learning experiences, including:

  • Reviewing simulation scenarios and evaluation criteria.

  • Assigning participant roles.

  • Outlining expectations and objectives for the simulation experience.

  • Reinforcing additional pre-briefing content provided by course faculty prior to simulation week.

  1. Facilitate and manage simulation scenarios with graduate students using simulation mannequins and related technology.

  2. Observe and assess student performance during simulation activities according to established scenario protocols and scoring guidelines.

  3. Lead debriefing sessions immediately following simulations to promote reflection, critical thinking, and application of learning concepts.

  • Respond to student questions and provide clarification regarding simulation performance and learning objectives.

  • Distribute and explain required reflection prompts to be completed prior to the next content-area course session.

  • Complete scoring and evaluation documentation in accordance with scenario design and established assessment protocols.

  • Compile and submit student performance data, scoring results, and related documentation to faculty members in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in the CSD graduate program.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and guide reflective learning discussions.

  • Experience with simulation-based education or clinical simulation preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in assessment and documentation processes.

  • Physical strength and ability to manipulate adult size mannequins.
