Concrete Estimator to join their team

Concrete Estimator who brings strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of commercial construction, and the ability to develop accurate, competitive estimates. In this role, you will review project plans and specifications, evaluate material and labor costs, and prepare detailed bids that support successful project planning and execution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the estimating process, works well with a team, and is looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities :- Prepare clear, detailed, and timely estimates and bids for commercial construction projects.
- Perform precise quantity take-offs and develop project budgets.
- Review and interpret contractual terms and conditions.
- Solicit, evaluate, and organize subcontractor and supplier quotes; negotiate pricing; issue purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Maintain and update cost databases for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Conduct site visits to gather accurate data for estimating.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine time, cost, material, and labor needs.
- Use company estimating software to prepare proposals.
- Stay current with building codes and apply that knowledge in your estimates.
- Support and uphold company safety policies and practices.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent job experience.
- At least three years of commercial construction industry experience required; estimating experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with schematic design and design development budgeting is a plus.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Solid understanding of building codes and construction practices.
- Strong math skills (arithmetic, algebra, and geometry).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication both verbally and written
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
