Commercial Drywall Project Manager / Estimator

Location: Massachusetts

The Opportunity

Solid Rock Recruiting is partnered with a well-established commercial drywall contractor that has built its business on relationships, repeat clients, and high-quality work.

This is not a “plug into a system” role. This is a step-in and take ownership opportunity.

The owner is looking for someone who can come in, take a significant amount of the workload off his plate, and help position the company for its next phase, including a potential ownership transition down the road.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Run both project management and estimating functions in a lean, team-oriented environment.
  • Manage projects from bid through closeout, including client communication, change orders, and execution.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, with a focus on repeat and negotiated work.
  • Handle estimating using tools like On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid.
  • Work closely with field leadership to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
  • Step into a role where you “eat what you kill” and take ownership of your work.

  • Strong background in commercial drywall project management and estimating.
  • Experience managing both the numbers and the job.
  • Ability to operate in a small team, high-accountability environment.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working collaboratively with field teams.
  • Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, QuickBid, or similar estimating software.
  • Someone who brings relationships or the ability to generate work is a strong plus.

Compensation

Base salary depending on experience.
