About the company. This regional electrical contractor delivers commercial electrical construction and service work across Central Ohio. Its teams handle lighting, power, and related building systems, partnering closely with general contractors, customers, vendors, and field crews.
Position overview.
The Commercial Electrical Project Manager takes ownership of projects from the Sales and Estimating handoff through completion. You will review scope and pricing, coordinate materials and schedules, prepare Foremen for field execution, and remain a technical and operational resource throughout the project. The role supports approximately 6-8 Foremen and requires a strong understanding of how commercial electrical work is performed in the field.

What you’ll doReview project handoffs, including scope, pricing, drawings, specifications, and customer expectations.Prepare projects for field execution by coordinating schedules, labor, materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.Price and coordinate lighting, electrical service equipment, wire, conduit, and other project materials with vendors; confirm pricing and compliance with specifications.Give Foremen a clear project handoff and provide ongoing support with technical, scope, material, and customer questions.Oversee approximately six Foremen and maintain productive relationships with general contractors, customers, vendors, and field teams.Visit jobsites to monitor progress, quality, safety, and schedule; help resolve field challenges.Manage multiple commercial electrical projects and keep them aligned with budget, scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
What you’ll bringStrong commercial electrical construction experience, including previous field experience; a path from Journeyman or Foreman into project management is preferred.Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project scope.Experience managing commercial electrical projects from handoff through completion.Understanding of project costs, materials, labor, schedules, and overall scope.Experience pricing materials and coordinating with vendors.Ability to support Foremen with technical questions and field challenges.Strong relationship-building, organization, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.Interest in long-term growth and tenure with the company.
