Position Description Summary:
The function of the Commercial Field Technician III is to support project management and sales in the installation of project deliverables within budget and on-time. This individual will assist in the installation of audio/video equipment in a timely manner and according to design specifications. Tasks include pre-wiring, terminating/testing, creation of daily work reports, hardware configuration/programming, final equipment installation, and other tasks necessary to complete the job successfully. 
This role is for a motivated individual in our audio, video and control installation team. This individual will work with project management, sales, and engineering to install and commission cutting edge commercial audio/video and control systems, and must possess professional appearance and conduct.  Works under general management guidance and has total project responsibility for the larger or more complex projects requiring advanced design and analysis. Provides training and work direction to other professional and support staff. 
This role may require working the occasional weekends and evenings, and overtime may be required from time to time. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • The service, upkeep, and basic installation of commercial audio/video and control systems.
  • Use of hand and power tools in commercial environments.
  • Creation of daily work reports.
  • Basic hardware configuration and programming.
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting, and creative thinking.
Required Commitments:
  • Standard work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm; additional hours may be required to support projects as needed. This may include weekends and evenings.
  • Candidates must have and maintain a clean motor vehicle record. Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the audio, video, and control systems industry.
  • Basic understanding of networking, design and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AVIXA / InfoComm certifications and/or coursework in audio/visual systems installation or relative work experience.
  • Knowledge of QSC, Biamp, DBX, and Crestron control systems.
  • Experience in the installation, integration, programming, and/or support of audio/visual systems hardware, software and infrastructure.
  • Relevant work experience will not be overlooked.
Compensation: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
