Join Us as a Commercial HVAC Controls & Commissioning Technician
If you love solving tough HVAC challenges and turning complex control systems into reliable, high-efficiency solutions, this role is for you. You’ll support customers across the Wilmington/Philadelphia/King of Prussia/ South NJ areas, focusing on startup, service, and optimization of advanced HVAC, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management systems.
What You'll Tackle
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex HVAC and control systems; test functionality and performance of electronic/digital controls.
- Identify retrofit opportunities, system upgrades, and enhancements; collaborate with sales by offering sound technical recommendations on leads.
- Coordinate activities with the Service Manager, Project Managers, and subcontractors to align schedules and deliverables.
- Document field changes with accurate sketches; support job layouts and assist with bid proposals.
- Perform mechanical startups; configure controllers; train end users on equipment and controls; complete manufacturer and BSS job-specific documentation and submit to the office.
- Use manufacturer/vendor portals and catalogs to source technical documentation and replacement part numbers; recommend appropriate part substitutions or modifications.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience.
- Professional communication and customer-facing skills.
- Participation in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Ability to operate a fork truck.
- EPA Refrigeration License.
- Valid driver's license.
- HVAC Journeyman Certificate (preferred).
- NATE certification (preferred).
Coverage Area
Wilmington/Philadelphia/King of Prussia/ South NJ areas.
Pay
Estimated Salary: $35 hourly - $55 hourly depending on experience
