At Delta Health, our Facilities team plays a vital role in supporting exceptional patient care. We're looking for a skilled Commercial HVAC Mechanic who takes pride in solving complex mechanical challenges and keeping critical building systems operating safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
As a Commercial HVAC Mechanic, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install the essential mechanical systems that keep our hospital and healthcare facilities operating 24/7.
Your responsibilities include:
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC, refrigeration, heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
Service boilers, hydronic and steam systems, pumps, motors, air handlers, valves, piping, water, sewer, and gas systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations, including recovery and recycling.
Read blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings to complete repairs and installations.
Use diagnostic equipment, testing instruments, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
Maintain inventory of parts and supplies while minimizing waste and overstock.
Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), infection control, and hospital safety standards.
Prioritize work to ensure patient-care areas receive immediate attention while maintaining preventive maintenance schedules.
Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional alternate shifts as required.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of commercial HVAC experience.
Minimum 3 years of commercial mechanical experience.
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and applicable code requirements.
Ability to respond within 30 minutes when assigned on-call (department needs may require).
Preferred Qualifications
Current Colorado Journeyman or Master Plumber License (DORA) in good standing.
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or Building Control Systems.
