Job Summary
Class Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated, career-minded Commercial Insurance Sales Agent to join our growing trucking insurance office. This role is for someone who wants to build a long-term sales career in a specialized market with real income-growth potential. We focus on commercial trucking and transportation insurance. The right candidate will be energetic, goal-oriented, professional with clients, and willing to learn the insurance process from application to quote to payment support and long-term account relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell and service commercial trucking insurance to new and existing clients.
- Make outbound calls, follow up with leads, and ask for referrals.
- Build relationships with owner-operators and small fleet owners.
- Collect accurate information for applications, quotes, payments, and policy changes.
- Work with timelines and follow up consistently to meet sales goals.
- Provide professional customer service for questions, claims direction, and account needs.
- Follow underwriting guidelines and agency procedures accurately.
Qualifications
- Strong desire to succeed in a sales environment.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with outbound calling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional phone voice, strong listening skills, and positive attitude.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage follow-up without being micromanaged.
- Computer proficient and able to adapt to new systems and workflows.
- Insurance or sales experience helpful, but not required for the right candidate.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
- Must either have or be able to obtain Insurance license
