Virgil E. Smith Insurance Services Inc. is looking for experienced and highly successful Commercial Insurance Sales Producers to join our fast-growing team.
- This role requires the producer to close new commercial accounts for the agency by leveraging your existing prospecting strategies, center os influence, and referral networks.
- Producers will manage a pipeline of new business prospects while also servicing the book's renewal business.
- Emphasis on underwriting relationships, not just quoting volume
- The agency will provide internal support to help move deals efficiently from prospect bind issue
Our agency has direct appointments with most carriers that serve independent insurance agencies. We have the ability to place larger, more complex risks without constant roadblocks.
Salary Range: $80000.00 - $150000.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of commercial insurance prospects within Texas.
- Identify client needs and provide tailored insurance solutions for commercial lines of business, including property, liability, workers' compensation, cyber liability, commercial auto, employment practices, etc.
- Build and nurture lasting relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
- Prepare and present quote proposals to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to secure competitive coverage for clients.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market changes, and new product offerings.
Requirements
- Current Texas Property & Casualty License required.
- Proven track record in commercial insurance sales, ideally 3+ years.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and the Texas market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to generate leads and close deals.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
