Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager

Salary:$115,000 - $145,000 DOE

We're seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager who thrives in a client-focused environment and enjoys managing sophisticated commercial insurance accounts. In this role, you'll partner closely with Risk Advisors and Executive Client Managers to deliver exceptional service, develop risk management strategies, and cultivate long-term client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Manage a portfolio of complex commercial insurance accounts from new business through renewal.
• Analyze client exposures and recommend comprehensive risk management and insurance solutions.
• Coordinate the marketing of new and renewal business by preparing submissions, negotiating coverage, pricing, and carrier terms.
• Review underwriting data, including loss ratios, experience modification factors, class codes, audits, and claims trends to identify opportunities and minimize risk.
• Develop proposals and present coverage recommendations to clients independently.
• Prepare and maintain insurance documentation including Statements of Values, schedules, certificates, and other client-facing materials.
• Review contracts, leases, and Certificates of Insurance to ensure contractual compliance and identify potential coverage concerns.
• Partner with Risk Control and Claims teams to proactively address significant claims or risk control issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and underwriting partners.
• Provide guidance, technical expertise, and mentorship to support team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Support account retention by delivering outstanding service and identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and documentation while maintaining the highest professional standards.

What We're Looking For

• Active California Property & Casualty Insurance License
• 5+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance coverages
• Experience marketing accounts and negotiating directly with insurance carriers
• Ability to independently manage client meetings, renewals, and coverage presentations
• Experience reviewing contracts, leases, and Certificates of Insurance
• Industry designations such as CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, or similar are highly preferred
• Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify coverage gaps and documentation errors
