Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage an established book of business, provide exceptional client service, support producers, manage new and renewal business. The ideal person will serve as a trusted partner to the President.
Job Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
- Independently manage commercial accounts and build strong client relationships
- Handle day-to-day account management including documentation, coverage questions, billing, audits, certificates, policy ordering & review and other servicing needs
- Must have the ability & willingness to adopt new industry specific technology
- Identify coverage gaps and cross-selling opportunities
- Maintain accurate account records in Applied Epic
New Business & Renewals
- Manage 40-60 new business accounts and established account processes from start to finish
- Market accounts, obtain and compare quotes, and negotiate coverage and pricing
- Evaluate coverage options and clearly communicate recommendations to clients
- Prepare proposals and renewal materials.
- Support producers with new business development and placement
Carrier & Market Relationships
- Build strong relationships with carriers, MGAs, and underwriters
- Stay current on carrier appetite, underwriting guidelines, pricing, and market trends
- Use market knowledge to secure appropriate coverage and terms for clients
Technology & Teamwork
- Use Applied EPIC, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy to reduce the amount of touch points on an account
- Collaborate with producers and support team members
- Be able to work with varying personalities
- Looking for an upbeat and energetic personality, the ability & availability to “read the room” for the President

Qualifications
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of commercial lines account management experience.
- Strong commercial insurance and coverage knowledge is essential
- Must be comfortable researching unfamiliar risks, leveraging available resources utilizing technology to help fill knowledge gaps when needed.
- Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and client-service skills.
- Must have an active insurance license; if license is lapsed the employer will help to achieve an active license within 90 days
- Applied Epic experience preferred; Indio, CSR24, and AI/technology experience a plus.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and committed to service excellence.
M-F Schedule in office. Hours 8:30am-5pm. Potential for Hybrid after training.
