An established Houston-area law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join its litigation practice.

The ideal candidate is a strong legal writer, analytical thinker, and collaborative professional who enjoys the challenges of commercial litigation and takes pride in delivering exceptional representation to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of commercial and business litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and other complex civil litigation.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.

• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.

• Manage written discovery, document production, and case preparation.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Assist with and participate in mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams.

• Manage deadlines and maintain organized case files.

• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• 2–4 years of commercial litigation experience.

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Experience drafting substantive motions and managing discovery.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.
