Shulman Rogers, P.A., is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our Litigation Department in our Potomac, MD office. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of substantive commercial litigation experience, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage matters independently while collaboration with partners and other attorneys.RESPONSIBILITIES:Handle a broad range of commercial and business litigation matters in state and federal courts.Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation.Draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.Conduct legal research and analysis and develop effective case strategies.Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:J.D. degree from an accredited law school.3–7 years of substantive commercial or business litigation experience, preferably in a law firm environment.Maryland Bar license required; DC and/or Virginia is a plus.Demonstrated experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court proceedings.Shulman Rogers offers a competitive salary, benefits package and work-from-home flexibility, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
