Commercial Loan Officer

A growing community-focused financial institution is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join its team in Jackson County, Mississippi. This individual will be responsible for developing new commercial banking relationships, managing an existing portfolio, and delivering customized lending and deposit solutions to businesses throughout the local market. The ideal candidate will have established business relationships in Jackson County and a proven track record of commercial loan production, portfolio management, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain commercial banking relationships with business owners, professionals, and community leaders throughout Jackson County and surrounding markets.
• Generate new loan and deposit opportunities through proactive business development efforts.
• Analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, and credit information to structure appropriate lending solutions.
• Prepare and present credit requests and recommendations for approval.
• Manage and grow an existing commercial loan portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality.
• Cross-sell treasury management, deposit products, and other bank services.
• Monitor loan relationships, perform annual reviews, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of commercial lending experience in the Jackson County, Mississippi market or surrounding Gulf Coast area.
• Strong knowledge of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring.
• Experience managing commercial loan portfolios and maintaining asset quality.
• Understanding of commercial real estate, C&I lending, and small business lending.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
