In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of the pre-construction phase-driving projects from conception to completion through meticulous planning, precise estimation, and strategic execution.If you are a detail-oriented estimating professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-energy environment, we want to hear from you!  Key ResponsibilitiesBlueprint & Document Analysis: Obtain and thoroughly review all bid documents. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and addendums to prepare precise material take-offs, labor estimates, and overall project costs using Tradesman estimation software.Bid Precision & Timeline Management: Complete all estimates with high accuracy, ensuring competitive and profitable bids are submitted strictly ahead of project deadlines.Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Vet subcontractor bids to ensure accurate pricing and clearly defined scopes of work.Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential project discrepancies or missing information in bid documents. Formulate and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to architects, engineers, and clients to mitigate risks early.Project Lifecycle Mapping: Leverage your deep understanding of various drawing stages and structural concepts to foresee project needs and potential field challenges.  QualificationsExperience:10+ years of dedicated commercial masonry estimating experience.Project Portfolio: A proven track record of successfully estimating $4M to $5M commercial masonry projects.Material Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of Brick, CMU, Decorative CMU, Architectural Precast / Cast Stone, and Natural / Synthetic Stone Veneer.Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Tradesman estimation software (or similar industry-standard take-off software) is highly preferred.Blueprint Literacy: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and translate complex blueprints, structural drawings, and architectural specifications.Collaboration: Strong communication skills with a natural ability to plan ahead and collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and other trades.
