Commercial & Residential Surveying | Field + Office-Based

Are you an experienced Survey Crew Chief looking to join a close-knit team with consistent work, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow? This is an opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and residential projects while collaborating directly with a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily field surveying operations and coordinate crew activities.
• Perform construction staking, topographic, and boundary surveys.
• Support site planning and land development projects.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, ensuring accurate field data collection.
• Review field measurements and maintain organized, accurate survey records.
• Communicate with office personnel, project managers, and the engineering team to keep projects on track.

Basic Requirements

• Previous experience in land surveying, preferably in a Survey Crew Chief or Lead Survey Technician role.
• Working knowledge of construction staking, topographic, and boundary surveys.
• Ability to operate GPS/GNSS equipment, robotic total stations, and other surveying instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret survey plans, construction drawings, and legal descriptions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Ability to travel locally to commercial and residential project sites.
