Our client, a leader in the commercial construction sector, is seeking a Commissioning Technician to serve as the primary contact for clients during the critical construction phase. This role focuses on excellence in project execution, client satisfaction, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and costs to ensure timely, on-budget delivery

- Strengthen client relationships by maintaining clear, consistent communication

- Coordinate and oversee trade contractors to guarantee quality results

- Review RFIs, submittals, and change orders with attention to detail

- Lead project meetings and planning sessions, serving as liaison between clients, staff, and construction teams

- Mitigate risks related to safety, authorizations, and third-party coordination

- Provide project management support including bids, schedules, cost reports, and cash flow forecasting

- Coach and develop project teams for improved performance - Drive ongoing process improvements based on hands-on learnings

Required Qualifications:

- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience

- Minimum 7 years in building systems or operations field - Strong scheduling, risk management, and technical communication skills

- Proven problem-solving ability and professionalism with integrity and empathy

- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bluebeam; experienced in reading plans and specifications

- Knowledgeable in codes, contract law, and general accounting fundamentals

- Willing and able to travel 30-50% with flexible scheduling

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certifications like OSHA, CCM, and safety training

- Procore software proficiency

- Experience with K-12 facility projects and their unique requirements
