Requisition Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting sourcing activities with PACCAR Parts, the Aftermarket division of PACCAR Inc. This position is located in Renton, Washington.

PACCAR Commodity Managers are change agents, focused on delivering the highest value to internal and external customers at the lowest total cost. We are looking for candidates that add value to every project they are a part of, are capable of developing and improving supplier relationships, and are capable of determining Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models within their assigned commodities.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Initiate market tests and facilitate supplier selection and qualification activities to achieve highest value and service for PACCAR
• Negotiate and manage onboarding of new program launches and related commercial requirements with respect to total cost, quality, delivery, warranty, and customer service.
• Identify areas of opportunity to consolidate and streamline purchasing-related activities being conducted at PACCAR divisions.
• Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in reduced product or service cost, improved supply chain performance, and enhanced product and service quality.
• Investigate and implement new technologies, strategic procurement strategies, and logistical opportunities.
• Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers and PACCAR personnel at all management levels.
• Travel to supplier locations and PACCAR facilities in order to evaluate capabilities, assess processes, investigate new opportunities, improve manufacturing efficiencies, and resolve chronic supply and quality issues.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing, engineering, operations, or related experience
• Experience with Production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management
• Mandarin, Spanish, or Portuguese language skills preferred
• Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills
• Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic
• Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals
• Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, & presentation
• PC skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Ability to develop Return on Investment Analysis

The salary range for the Sr. Commodity Manager - New Program Sourcing position is $90,400 -$141,800 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
