Community Engagement Coordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator works closely with the Community Engagement Manager to advance internal and external community engagement and outreach efforts. The Community Engagement Coordinator facilitates community building, strengthens relationships, and supports the organizational goal of meeting community need to improve overall health. The Community Engagement Coordinator administers effective outreach programs, activities, and events to increase NFP's visibility in the community, serves as an ambassador at various boards, coalitions, and initiatives to support NFP's mission and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following description is a general representation of the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

• Identify, develop, and maintain collaborative partnerships with community-based organizations. Partner with community-based organizations to develop and implement effective health and wellness initiatives and educational programing to improve community health status (e.g. chronic disease, infant mortality, behavioral health) and acquire new patients.
• Act as point of contact for community organizations and stakeholders and provide information on community engagement and public health education efforts and initiatives.
• Assist patients and staff in identifying appropriate community resources to improve access to care, coverage, health, and social services. Provide feedback to NFP leadership on community barriers and identify and recommend solutions, opportunities, or partnerships.
• Prepare and present culturally appropriate educational materials, programming, and presentations for internal and external groups related to community events and initiatives.
• Advocate for policy initiatives that affect the overall health and wellbeing of patients and the community.
