Job Summary
As a Community Event Specialist at Wayfair, you help bring the Wayfair brand to life by creating welcoming and engaging experiences for our customers both inside and outside the store. Working closely with Store Leadership and the Marketing team, you support the execution of community events, local partnerships, supplier demonstrations, workshops, and seasonal activities that strengthen our connection with the local community and encourage customers to visit our stores.
In this role, youll coordinate event logistics, build relationships with local organizations and vendors, and help ensure every event is organized, engaging, and executed to a high standard. Youll also capture event content, support promotional initiatives, and create memorable experiences that reflect Wayfairs commitment to outstanding customer service.
Success in this role comes from being highly organized, customer-focused, and adaptable. You enjoy connecting with people, collaborating across teams, and bringing energy and enthusiasm to every event. Whether youre setting up for a supplier demonstration, welcoming guests to a community event, or supporting a seasonal campaign, youll play an important role in delivering experiences that create excitement for our brand.
As Wayfair continues to grow its retail footprint, Community Event Specialists help create stores that are more than just places to shop-they help create inviting destinations where customers can engage with our products, connect with their community, and experience the Wayfair brand firsthand.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys event coordination, customer engagement, relationship building, and working in a fast-paced retail environment while partnering with others to deliver exceptional experiences. In addition, someone who knows how to fill in the gaps when needed (such as servicing customers, or greeting at the door).
