Delivering excellent customer service to all is a core value.
Equity & Inclusion: Seattle Parks and Recreation commits to advancing equity and social justice in our department and in every neighborhood by growing a dynamic and diverse workforce, developing strong investments, growth opportunities and beneficial partner strategies as we acknowledge and pledge to close disparities created by historical practices which often hindered workforce development, environmental justice, access to quality open spaces, programs and facilities.
About The Division: Seattle Parks and Recreation's (SPR) Recreation Division provides opportunities for people from all backgrounds to play, learn, and lead healthy, active lives through programs and facilities. Within all our facilities, community members are engaged through a variety of class activities, from sports, arts, swimming (lessons or lap), boating, and much more. Recreation programs and facilities like Teen Life Centers, the Late-Night program, and Community Learning Centers focus on supporting the development of youth and teens in and outside of school. Offered throughout many of our facilities are Lifelong Recreation programs for older adults and Specialized Programs for people with disabilities.
