MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma, GED AND two (2) years of college course work at an accredited college being preferred. One (1) year of recreation programming or facility maintenance experience is preferred.

THE POSITION

The Community Services & Recreation Leader I will serve as a key member of the City's Community Services & Recreation Division and will contribute by supporting the planning and execution of inclusive, diverse, family-friendly events. This individual will do so with a "can do" attitude and "get it done" approach to work in a fast-paced environment while working closely with a talented, energetic, and highly engaged team of City talent.

Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment letter, applicants are required to complete a drug and/or alcohol test at the time of their pre-employment physical. All employees are required by law to sign a loyalty oath to the United States and the State of California Constitution at time of hire.

Accumulation Program for Part-Time and Limited Service Employees (APPLE)

29 Hour Part-Time Employees are provided 24 hours of sick leave within the first 90 calendar days and an additional 16 hours on the 200th calendar day.
