Primary Purpose
Delivers advanced compensation and benefits support through detailed job evaluations, market pricing, and compliance oversight, providing insights that enhance pay equity and program effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts job evaluation and market pricing for assigned roles, matches jobs to survey benchmarks, and recommends hiring ranges.
Builds salary recommendations that balance external competitiveness with internal equity and budget considerations.
Leads complex benefits administration tasks, including retirement plan contribution reconciliation and claim escalations.
Designs recurring analytics on pay equity and benefits utilization and presents insights to human resources partners.
Interprets and applies federal and state requirements for pay and benefits and updates procedures accordingly.
Creates manager toolkits and employee communications that explain pay structures, incentive eligibility, and benefit options.
Coordinates survey participation cycles and improves matching rules to enhance data quality.
May participate in administration of executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual and long-term incentives, stock plan administration, nonqualified deferred compensation and pension plan administration and/or executive benefits administration.
May provide reporting and analyses for preparation of regulatory filings or meetings of the Compensation and Talent Development Committee of Sempra's Board of Directors.
Participates in cross functional projects within Total Rewards.
Serves as a subject‑matter resource to payroll, finance, and legal on pay decisions and policy interpretation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
