Position Overview

A well-established and highly regarded litigation firm is seeking a 3–7 year Associate Attorney to join its complex commercial litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with sophisticated clients, and gain broad experience across a diverse range of matters.

The firm handles complex cases involving a variety of industries and high-profile clients, with matters ranging from commercial disputes and Prop 65 litigation to entertainment-related work, arbitrations, and occasional trials. The team offers a collaborative environment with strong mentorship and the opportunity to develop as a well-rounded litigator.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
• Conduct and respond to discovery
• Participate in depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and occasional trials
• Communicate directly with sophisticated clients and opposing counsel
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff across a diverse caseload
• Take ownership of matters while working with experienced attorneys for guidance and mentorship

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of complex commercial litigation experience
• Top 30 law school credentials or BigLaw experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience handling complex litigation and discovery
• Comfortable taking initiative and contributing across all aspects of a case
• Responsive, collaborative, and able to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters
• California Bar admission required
