Job Summary
The Compliance and Audit Coordinator supports the Office of the Registrar by ensuring adherence to institutional, state, federal, and accreditation requirements related to academic records, registration, transfer-credit, and degree certification. This role coordinates internal audits of student records, graduation processing, articulation and matriculation workflows to maintain accuracy, consistency, and policy compliance. The coordinator also leads assessment initiatives, monitors data integrity in the student information system, and supports compliance reporting and documentation for accreditation and regulatory reviews.
Duties
- Conducts audits of student academic records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
- Audits graduation processing and degree certification to verify that degree requirements are applied correctly
- Reviews and audits articulation and matriculation processes to ensure accurate receipt, processing, and retention of external student records, including transcripts and supporting documentation
- Monitors data integrity within the student information system and identifies discrepancies related to course credits, academic programs, and student records
- Support student records, graduation, articulation, and matriculation units with the Office of the Registrar
Marginal Duties
- Assists in the reconciliation and review of transfer credit evaluations to ensure alignment with institutional policies and approved course equivalencies
- Oversees assessment activities for the Office of the Registrar, including tracking operational metrics, developing reports, and identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborates with campus partners and provides training or guidance to staff to ensure consistent implementation of registrar procedures and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
- Three (3) years of professional experience in registrar operations, student records management, higher education administration, compliance, auditing, or assessment
License/Certification:
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compliance and auditing with a registrar's office

- Knowledge in registrar operations, auditing, compliance or assessment

- Works in an office environment

- Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements. Position is physically comfortable; individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
