Our compliance and credentialing team plays a critical role in supporting safe, consistent, and fully compliant clinical operations.Job SummaryThe Compliance Coordinator supports the organization's compliance program by assisting with monitoring, education, auditing, and documentation activities that ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations. This role plays a key part in maintaining ethical operations, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and promoting a culture of compliance across all clinic locations.Compliance Program SupportAssist in the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing evaluation of the compliance program.Support compliance initiatives aligned with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry best practices.Help maintain compliance documentation, policies, procedures, and records.Auditing & MonitoringCoordinate routine compliance audits and monitoring activities (e.g., HIPAA, billing, coding, documentation).Track audit findings, corrective action plans, and follow-up activities to completion.Prepare audit summaries and reports for leadership review.Education & TrainingAssist with the coordination and tracking of compliance training for team members.Support development and distribution of compliance-related education materials.Maintain training completion records and compliance attestations.Investigations & ReportingAssist with intake, documentation, and tracking of compliance concerns, incidents, and potential violations.Support internal investigations under the direction of the VP of Compliance.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all compliance matters.Regulatory & Policy SupportMonitor regulatory updates and assist with communication of changes to relevant stakeholders.Support policy reviews, updates, and annual acknowledgements.Help ensure clinics remain survey-ready and compliant with applicable regulations.Administrative & Cross-Functional SupportMaintain compliance logs, databases, and reporting tools.Coordinate with operations, clinical leadership, HR, revenue cycle, and IT as needed.Support special compliance projects and initiatives as assigned.Qualifications: RequiredBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Compliance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).1–3 years of experience in healthcare compliance, healthcare administration, or a related role.Working knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, state regulations).Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Qualifications: PreferredExperience in urgent care, ambulatory care, or multi-site healthcare environments.Familiarity with compliance auditing, incident tracking, or training coordination.Compliance certification (e.g., CHC, CPCO) or interest in pursuing certification.Experience working with compliance software or learning management systems.Reports ToVP of ComplianceFLSA StatusFull-Time, Non-ExemptScheduleMonday–Friday, 40 hours per week, In-OfficeLocationMidwest Express Clinic Corporate Office, Chicago IllinoisSalary65,000 to 75,000BenefitsMidwest Express Clinic is proud to offer our employees a competitive selection of employer sponsored medical, dental, vision, and short term disability plans that meet the diverse needs of our employees and their families.
