COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTIONPurpose: Sanctuary Recovery Centers aspires to outline specific job functions and roles to eliminate ambiguity within the organization.Position Summary: The Compliance Coordinator position is responsible for overseeing Sanctuary's compliance with government laws and regulations. Their duties include coordinating with company management to identify potential risks, implementing policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations and monitoring the company's adherence to those policies and procedures. This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining open communication and contribute to an environment of trust and mutual respect. You will contribute to a culture of performance, teamwork, collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement, including licensure and accreditation compliance. Reports to Owner/CEO.Position Qualifications:This position requires the employee meets the criteria to be credentialed and privileged to conduct assessments as a qualified assessor. This is a supervisory position requiring more education and experience therefore, a person must have one of the following combinations of education, license, and behavioral health work experience:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field3-5 years of experience in related field1-3 years of experience of supervisor experience in related fieldProven leadership skillsWorking knowledge of compliance issuesOutstanding written and verbal communication abilitiesFamiliarity with computer and necessary softwareDetail-oriented and well-organizedStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsAbility to foster strong relationshipsProven understanding of risk assessment and mitigationResearch and reporting skillsStrong statistical analysis skillsPosition Duties:Create and put into action compliance and safety initiatives and strategies that are in line with the overall business planCollect, evaluate, write, and submit data and reports for regulatory bodiesAssist with data gathering and analysis for legal purposesCoordinate document requests, procedure changes, and other quality projectsDevelop internal company policies and ensure all employees are in accordanceEnsure all Sanctuary staff and each facility has clearly defined processes for complying with state and federal lawsConsistently communicating updated information concerning the organization's compliance with laws and regulationsTaking necessary actions in dealing with noncompliance situations, creating realistic plans to overcome themConduct regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations.As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, Sanctuary Recovery Centers conducts background checks and drug screenings for all potential employees.
