    We are currently seeking a Compliance Investigator 1-4 to join our team. We are looking for someone who is proactive, people-focused and truly enjoys working collaboratively.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Three years of experience in accounting, auditing, administrative services, building inspection, real estate appraisal, law enforcement, investigations, or in the issuance or recommendation of medical licenses; OR

    Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

    A bachelors degree.

    EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

    Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Job Duties:

    • As a Compliance Investigator with the Office of Legal Affairs, youll help investigate allegations of statutes, Civil Service Rules, and policies and procedures of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections. In this role, you will:
    • Conducts in-depth investigations into potential violations of policy and procedure, rules, or statute by civilian employees. The investigator will administer oaths to witnesses, receive statements and other evidence, and ensure the cooperation of PSS employees in such disciplinary investigations. The incumbent shall assist the Office of Legal Affairs attorneys in composing written reports of investigations, assess the credibility of witnesses and the weight of evidence in investigations, and assist in making findings of fact.
    • Assists attorneys by conducting investigations related to litigation matters handled by the Office of Legal Affairs. In addition to the investigation, the incumbent shall assist the Office of Legal Affairs and the Attorney General's Office in collecting discoverable material for pending litigation.
    • Provides investigative support to the Louisiana State Police, Internal Affairs, regarding disciplinary matters referred to Internal Affairs regarding State Police Commission employees.
    • Assists PSS in gathering evidence and documentation to satisfy discovery requests for information or assist the State Attorney Generals Office in gathering documentary evidence when the suit has been filed in District or Federal Court.

    Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

    Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
